That's pretty damn bad when you forget to write about stuff you are reading and I've finished a few books since the last time I posted on this site. Crazy.
I finally finished The Mortal Instruments City of Glass. That was an awesome trilogy and now I read that Cassandra Clare is writing some prequels and a sequel to City of Glass. If she screws with Jace I'm gonna be upset. Jace is my favorite character is her series. He's a smart ass, tough and yet loves Clary with everything he has. If you haven't read this series, check it out and then if you are not a fan of fade to black endings jump on fanfiction.net and search the M rated stories for some truly fantastic hot Clary and Jace stories.
I also finished reading Andre Agassi's bio. I've been a fan of his since his mullet and neon spandex days. I've seen him in person three times. His story is one of the best bios I've ever read. He didn't edit it. The truth spilled out and it was fascinating to read how he viewed his tennis career. I never knew he hated what he did. Amazing! Read it...it's a great story!
Let's see...oh yeah, right now I'm reading a book called Swoon. The verdict is not in yet. It's not back on the shelf but it hasn't totally grabbed my attention either. I'll be reading a few more pages before I make my final decision whether to keep reading or put it back on the shelf.
I did see the movie Percy Jackson and the Olympians. It was awesome! I definitely need to check out the books.

Finger Lickin' Fifteen

Ohmygod, it was so awesome to read a hilarious book. Nothing paranormal, no vamps, no faeries, just funny shizz. Janet Evanovich I salute you. Finger Lickin' Fifteen was one of my favorite Stephanie Plum books. The only thing it was lacking was ahem, some bedroom steam, but the laughs were incredible. I tried to read the book at the hair salon and had to put it away because people were staring at me. I was laughing out loud. I mean belly laughing, snorting.
If you are a fan of Lula and Grandma Mazur this book is a definite read for you and it you've never read Janet Evanovich, what's wrong with you. The books are hilarious. Start at number one and meet me at fifteen. I can't remember which number book, but let me know when you find the one with the stuffed animals that blow up. Gawd, that one was hilarious!
Just started a new Young Adult book called NEED. Of course, City of Glass by Cassandra Clare showed up in the mail today. I'm having a difficult time not racing to read it, but I'm going to stick with Need and then move to City of Glass. Sigh, I love Jace.

City of Ashes

Okay, finished the City of Ashes book by Cassandra Clare. It's the second installment in the Mortal Instruments series. I couldn't put the dang book down. I finished reading it last night around 2am and had to be up around 7am this morning, so I'm a little tired today. Back to the story. Although I still find myself skimming the more descriptive parts of the book, the story has totally sucked me in. I love the character of Jace. In a way I wish the book was more about him, but it is interesting to meet his family and learn how he became what he is today. The inner struggles he has as he chooses between what he believes in right and what other people think he will do. I love his cockiness and sharp wit. I can't wait to read the final book, City of Glass. I am currently anxiously awaiting its arrival. I ordered it off Amazon a few days ago. Maybe I should check my mail box. Oh, right, it's Sunday, no mail.
In between checking the mail box, I'm going to read Janet Evanovich's next installment in the Stephanie Plum series.

City of Bones

Just finished reading Cassandra Clare's City of Bones. It was a book I didn't want to set down. I needed to know what happened. Even when real life called and I had to set the book down it was always in the back of my mind. I desperately wanted to get back to the story. The book is about a young girl named Clary who's world is turned upside down when she discovers the existence of another world hidden from the view of normal humans. Clary finds out that her mother has lied about her true past, tried to hide what she is and what Clary is, to keep her from this other world. But lies always have a way of unfolding at the worst time. Clary stumbles into the world of Shadowhunters at a dance one night when she meets Jace, Alec and Isabelle. The story starts to unfold when they realize that Clary can see them. Mundanes(humans) are blind to the existence of this other world but Clary can see them. Things begin to spiral out of control when Clary's mother disappears and monsters start coming after Clary. She is taken in by the Shadowhunters and learns she is one of them.
My only complaint is the author's overdescriptive writing style of the places they are. I would have liked more description of the characters, but it's a small complaint. One which I will file away as I jump to the next book in the trilogy, City of Ashes. Don't you love it when the series is already complete! There will be no waiting for the author to complete the next book!

Hush Hush is back on the Shelf

Finished reading Hush Hush two nights ago and although I really liked the premise of the story this book was definitely meant for tweens and not for me. I know I haven't read much lately because I was scrambling to finish the 50k of my NaNo story ~ which I did. Of course, now I have to go back and edit the story. Oh and finish the story. 50k is not enough words for me. Er, back to the book. It's not moving fast enough for me. I know it's a young adult book, but come on, I can only take so much yearning and longing and angst. I need some real action and when I say action, I mean action. Not just lingering looks or casual body bumping, but some real, say, I don't know, at least a little lip action. Maybe things will pick up in the second half of the story. I will say that it has kept my attention because I do want to know Patch's story. (Patch is the totally hot and mysterious should stay away from guy in the story)Anyway, I guess I haven't relegated the book to the dreaded night stand, so I will keep reading...I do miss my vampires though.

Hush Hush

Just cracked open the book Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick.
